Being new to blogging will present some interesting challenges, I'm sure. I tend to be an interactive talker rather than a monologuist. My goal for this blog is to point out some of the Journeys we take through our Blessings, often not even realizing the blessing is there. We often think that we are faced with a trial. Let me share something:

I don't believe we're tested;
I don't believe we're tried;
I do believe life's challenges
Teach us how to fly.

This is on the same order as the eagle's flight. There are few things more magnificent than an eagle in flight, but to learn to fly with that power and grace, the mother eagle PUSHED THE EAGLET out of it's nest into a life-threatening free-fall! Shortly, the eaglet opens his wings and soars. His beak opens and a cry of pure joy echoes through out the crags and valleys.

When we are personally faced with a challenge, we fret, worry, and stress over finding a solution. Once we have overcome the challenge, we feel like WE could fly. On top of that, we get bragging rights.

Right now, I'm in treatments for a slight touch of breast cancer. Nothing big, I assure you. It was much more difficult to receive the news of my pituitary tumor on 9/11/2001. That tumor taught me that infirmities are often just a mission calling - God giving us just a touch of something so that He can get us to the people and/or places He needs us to get His work done. I'll tell you, I'd rather be battling cancer than some of those bugs that are in South America! God sure knows what he's up to!
